Caching helps speed up our website by storing static versions of our pages, but this can also prevent recent updates from showing immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If changes made in the Click to Chat plugin are not appearing on your site, the issue is usually caused by website caching. Clearing the cache typically resolves the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Types of caching that might interfere:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  1. WordPress caching plugins<\/strong> \u2013 They store HTML versions of Website pages and sometimes minify\/merge JavaScript or CSS files.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. CDNs (Content Delivery Networks)<\/strong> \u2013 These store and serve files across a network of servers worldwide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Server-level caching<\/strong> \u2013 Some hosting providers (like SiteGround, Kinsta, GoDaddy, WP Engine) have built-in caching systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Browser caching<\/strong> \u2013 our browser might keep old versions of scripts and stylesheets.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    How to Fix It<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Clear Cache from our WordPress Caching Plugin<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    If we’re using caching plugins like WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Fastest Cache, Autoptimize, or Hummingbird<\/strong>, we should go to their plugin settings in our WordPress dashboard and manually purge or clear the cache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In most plugins, this option is also available directly from the admin header menu for quick access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Clear Cache in WP Rocket<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Go to Settings \u2192 WP Rocket in your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click \u201cClear Cache\u201d at the top of the page to remove all cached files.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Clear Cache in LiteSpeed Cache<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      1. Navigate to LiteSpeed Cache \u2192 Toolbox in your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Under the Purge tab, click \u201cPurge All\u201d to clear all cache from your site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Clear Cache in WP Fastest Cache<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Go to WP Fastest Cache \u2192 Delete Cache in your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click \u201cDelete Cache\u201d to clear the static cache.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. For a full cleanup, click \u201cDelete Cache and Minified CSS\/JS\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Clear Cache in W3 Total Cache<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

          1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Performance \u2192 Dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click \u201cEmpty All Caches\u201d at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            This clears page cache, object cache, database cache, and minified files generated by W3 Total Cache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Clear Cache in Autoptimize<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            1. Go to Settings \u2192 Autoptimize in your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Click the \u201cDelete Cache\u201d button at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              While testing Click to Chat plugin changes, you may also temporarily disable JavaScript aggregation or CSS optimization if they are enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              2. Clear CDN or Hosting Cache<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              If we\u2019re using a CDN<\/strong> (like Cloudflare, Bunny.net, StackPath) or our host provides server-side caching<\/strong> (like Kinsta, SiteGround, Bluehost, Hostinger, GoDaddy etc.), go to the provider\u2019s control panel and purge the cache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
