The Greeting Dialog is a message prompt that helps start conversations with visitors. We can choose to display it either next to the WhatsApp button or as a centered modal, allowing better control over how it fits into the site’s layout and visibility.
Navigate to Click to Chat → Greetings
- Select the Greetings Type (eg,, Form, customizable design) from the drop down
- Scroll to the Additional Settings Section.
- Under Greeting Dialog Position, we choose either
- Next to WhatsApp Button
- Modal Dialog
Next to WhatsApp Button
This placement keeps the greeting dialog directly connected to the WhatsApp button. It’s compact, accessible, and feels like a natural extension of the chat trigger.

Modal Dialog
Displays the greeting dialog in the center of the screen with a slight background blur. It offers a clean and engaging way to highlight the message.
- The dialog appears in the middle of the screen regardless of the WhatsApp button position.
- Smooth and focused layout across all devices
- Suitable for highlighting welcome messages or announcements
Choosing the Right Option
The best position depends on our engagement goals:
- Next to WhatsApp Button is great for sites that want a subtle, always-available prompt.
- Center Modal is best when we want to draw focus to our message or offer.
Note: This position will also apply to trigger-based greetings where we are using ctc-greetings in the Page Level Settings → Advanced → Additional CSS class(es)
Both options are designed to support great user experience. Whether we want a subtle nudge or a clear message upfront, the Greeting Dialog Position gives us the flexibility to do it our way. Adjust it to match our brand and guide our users naturally into conversation.
